Hoping and Praying to Make Our Communities Safe Again

 The Prayer  -  The March 2025 Update

The needy and the providers, that is the focus.   The focus on helping the mentally ill, substance abusers, and chronically ill in our communities, to include the disabled.  The government employer whom for years used favoritism in its hiring practices and continues in 2025 to not have open and competitive hiring, that is Wake County Government.

The prayer is that needless deaths from the homeless dying on government property due to criminal negligence end.  The prayer is that everyone be provided equal opportunities.  Lastly, the prayer is for reform and ending of fraud and waste and criminal negligence.  

A reflection is also on the blatant hiring of inexperienced persons in lieu of hiring the best and experienced persons for a job.  Our dads, neighbors, human beings, friends and loved ones cannot continue to be treated like prey.    

The public comment for the Wake County Board of Commissioner follows.  You control the purse.  You control the finances.  You can stipulate that funds of Wake County be applied to help the populations identified be used in a fair manner with deference to waste and fraud.  

The public comment is this, in the face of all the politics and what is happening in our country, take the time to look at the fraud and waste in Wake County.  This is taxpayer funds that are administered and distributed by the county commissioners in part.  Here is part of the problem, each commissioners meeting has in its presence David Ellis and Scott Warren, the county attorney.   Years ago I commented and approached this body with allegations of discrimination towards the disabled.  The very issues raised in those comments continue.  It needs to stop, and I am asking as a controlling body, this body, stipulate and stop the discrimination I alleged years ago.  If you allot specific money for specific departments of Wake County Government, then make sure that money is not being wasted, and needless lives are loss.  Thank you.

No Open and Competitive Hiring

The push has been since 2015 for open and competitive hiring.  Nothing happened since.

 Some Questions and Concerns Briefly, and the Board of Commissioners and County Managers all Received Many Complaints, are:  First, is it okay to house sex offenders right next to a family center, and in a thriving community like the New Walnut Terrace?  The county already received notice that over 20 predators actively use the center, South Wilmington Street Center for Men, as their home.  Second, Employees are placed at risk by upper administrative staff whom are misapplying "Low Barrier" housing.  What that means is employees and guests are at heighten risk of serious bodily injury because of the failure of upper administration to put in place measures to protect all whom use the center.  That includes willful rejection of state wide COVID policy.  That includes encouraging attacks on staff and guests.  That includes allowing government property, the center, to be a safe haven for open drug dealing and illegal activities, do you want that in your community?  Services are not in place, like additional medical personnel, law enforcement, and other services that are needed with the Low Barrier concept, hence, people are literally dying at the center. Just last month, a deal occurred right in their rear parking lot that resulted in an overdose and emergency resuscitation of a guest.  Employees have been fired and written up for trying to defend themselves against physical attacks.  The county is now the Vanguard of reverse prejudicial hiring.  Now, if you are Black, you are favored and just about will be guaranteed to get a job.  Open and competitive hiring never was a part of the scheme and implementation of the core values the county expresses.  One result is the virtual none-existence of services for the Hispanic Population at the Center.  If Racism is wrong, then so too is reverse prejudicial hiring, but, it seems like it is sanctioned by the Commissioner, Managers, and Human Resources of Wake County Government.  Look at the videos.  Want more documents, we have it, just request it.
