The firing of Orlando McClain had one critical and crucial element cited therein, that was the “attempted use of excessive force”. However, the actual use of an illegal choke hold on a guest went unpunished. Jessie, encountered a guest whom “knock him to the floor” with “a sucker punch”, but, instead of fleeing and securing his safety first, Jesse gets up, a supervisor level employee, and places the guest in an illegal choke hold. Hum! WOW?!!

No consequences for that employee as he resumed his duties without any infraction. Guest hauled off to jail for assault against a government employee while it remains clear he, the guest, had the COVID documentation to reenter the center. Then of course, this is the same Jessie whom calls the homeless names to include “fags” when he encounters someone struggling with identity issues.

Brandon Davis is gone. The one employee instrumental in continuously telling the truth and documenting what happens at the shelter. Gone. Retaliation is almost certain the reason.

While others have been “called aside” continuously and asked not to talk about what happened with Orlando as in person’s, witnesses, witnesses were favorable to Orlando, like Veronica, are now being asked to “stop” talking to Orlando. The employer making deliberate attempts to keep a hostile work environment present. YOU CANNOT BE FRIENDS WITH ORLANDO, control your after work hours relationships too.

The highlight of that hostile work environment was when a female employee locked herself in the bathroom because she was emotionally overwhelmed with the acts of Candice Brown to the extent security from Oak City had to be called to deescalate the scenario as in “talking and coaxing her out of the bathroom”. Proof positive of hostile work environment while the board of commissioners and HR remain silent.

Meanwhile, in the dinning room, a convicted sex offender, rapist, tries to attack an employee, female, while her utterances were not “approved comments” by the county as outlined in their polices. Wow.

There is no better evidence of Black on Black crimes and the lack of open and competitive employment. Went to the commissioners offices to ask why are you using a "Mail bot system" that does not provide responses by the county commissioners, and more than three weeks later, no response still. Dang. This is also why I personally have been barred from the participation in their housing program for Seniors.
